This customer was having a loft conversion and therefore needed their current aerial relocating. After discussing with them the options available on their property it was decided to relocate this onto the gable end wall on the apex giving it the highest elevated point. Our client in Cambridge needed the installation of a system to provide Freeview, Sky Q & Sky HD to their TV point’s all of which need to be out of view from ground level. This customer has an original setup from another company which really wasn’t adequate enough for the dish size and the location was not the best. After discussing this with the client and giving them alternative options, we decided to install the dish higher therefore giving a better line of sight and mounting it to a sturdier H style bracket secured with anchor bolts and a 2” Mast. Being ex forces myself it was a pleasure to be able to help out the forces community centre in Warminster with their needs. After Storm Erik had done its round’s many had received damage to their Aerials as this client in Cambridge had. Whilst there was no damage to the aerial itself the chimney lashing had snapped leaving the aerial dangerously resting on the roof. We discussed with the client the best course of action which was to relocate the aerial onto the gable end with new bracketry which would also make it more accessible in the future. This customer in Cambridge was having really bad problems in their property with Wi-Fi with it being such a large building with very thick walls. We carried out a survey and suggested Zoning the property out with Wi-Fi access points. Once agreed we installed 2 x Ubiquiti AC Pro Access points which were hard wired from a 4-way Netgear PoE switch and now allows them uninterrupted Wi-Fi throughout their property.
